Privacy Policy

DRIFT slows songs down, shifts their pitch and adds reverb. All of that happens on your own device. This page explains, in plain terms, what the app does and does not do with your data.
Your audio never leaves your device
When you open a file, DRIFT reads it into memory and processes it with the audio engine built into your browser or phone. Nothing is uploaded. There is no server that receives your music, no cloud processing and no storage on our side. Rendered files are written straight to your own device.
When you close the app, the loaded audio is discarded from memory.
No accounts, no profiles
DRIFT has no sign-up, no login and no user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other identifying detail, so we hold no profile of you.
No analytics or tracking
The app contains no analytics SDK, no tracking pixels and no third-party behavioural cookies. We do not measure what you listen to or what settings you use.
One request does leave this page: its fonts and styles are served from konstrukt.tech, the studio's own site, so opening this policy contacts that host. It receives what any web server receives — an IP address and a browser string, kept in hosting logs. Nothing about your audio, your files or your settings travels with it.
Advertising
Some Android versions of DRIFT may show ads supplied by the Yandex Advertising Network. Advertising is disabled in the initial RuStore release. In a version where it is enabled, the provider may process device-level data such as an advertising identifier, coarse location derived from an IP address, and general device information. This is handled by that provider, not by us — we never receive your music, your files or personally identifying information through it.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings, under Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Where required by law, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time from the app's settings.

Purchases
The Android app offers an optional, one-time Drift Pro purchase through RuStore Pay. RuStore processes the payment and keeps the purchase record used to restore access after reinstalling the app. We do not receive your card or bank details. Buying Drift Pro unlocks Keep Tempo processing and removes ads. The web version at drift.konstrukt.tech has no purchases and shows no ads.
Permissions
DRIFT reads only the file you choose to open. Saving goes through Android's media library, so the app never asks for access to your storage as a whole.
- Notifications — to show the track you are playing in the notification shade. Declining it costs you that notification and nothing else.
- Foreground service — so playback keeps running when you leave the app. It is used only while something is playing.
- Network and advertising ID — used by the ads described above.
It does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, precise location, call logs or messages.
Children
DRIFT is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
